Permis Suisse is a directory for people moving to Geneva (and, where there is demand, Lausanne): residence permits, immigration lawyers, letting agencies and relocation.
What we do
We describe the rules from official sources, we list professionals in the region and we put people in touch with one of them when they ask. We are neither a law firm nor an authority: we do not give legal advice and we do not handle any file.
Where our information comes from
- Permit rules: State Secretariat for Migration (SEM), laws published on Fedlex (FNIA, OASA, AFMP), the OCPM (Geneva) and canton of Vaud websites. Every page cites its sources.
- Processing times: only the figures the cantonal offices publish, and the times our readers report, published as a median once there are enough answers. No figure is estimated.
- Professional listings: their public Google Maps listing, their own website (languages, areas named), the commercial register (Zefix), the nearest transport stop (transport.opendata.ch) and the official commune (geo.admin.ch).
- Commune figures: OCSTAT and SITG open data (population, dwellings, median rents).
Introductions
Requests sent through our forms are passed to a professional in the region. The service is free for you; professionals may pay us for the requests they receive or for a featured position, always labelled "Sponsored".
Editing or removing a listing
Every professional listing has a "Claim / Edit / Remove this profile" link. Removal requests are handled within 72 hours. Contact: contact@permis-suisse.ch.
